Once you have visited one of the amazing homestay villages, you will most definately call it home. The vast cultures, the warm hospitality and the feeling of being part of the family is something you will treasure forever!

We had an amazing time at Home Stay mom Rina and her family. We had three fantastic guides during our stay. We had a great road trip through South-Africa and saw the most beautiful things but our home stay was the greatest experience during our trip. We hope to come back sometime. As a tour guide I must say that I am very lucky that I get to travel to different places around Southern Africa. We were the first group from Intrepid and also broke the record as Kylie said "we were the 1st to arrive the next day."🙈...With that said this was the BEST EXPERIENCE, I've had with my guests. It is extremely authentic,original and gives people a great overview of the community. Am I soo excited as I will be seeing this project grow doing bigger things. To Kylie & Cameron, all the Guides, home stay families; even though it does not mean much but you guys are doing AMAZING work. Rise & Shine and I hope we meet again. 😊 "no livhuha nga maanḓa" for the lovely stay.

This was the most amazing, authentic experience I have ever had. The community really comes together and shows you what it’s like to live in Makushu. Everyone you come across, the guides, home stay mums, community members are all extremely welcoming, friendly and attentive. They honestly made you feel like you truly belong. We had many opportunities although some personal highlights were; cooking and dancing with our home stay mum, Maria, her grandson and our wonderful guide Refilwe and watching the children in the community perform traditional dances. The energy of the children who performed was breathtaking!

We had the most humble home stay mum, Mumma Maria. She is an amazing, strong woman who build part of her home with her own two hands. She has the biggest heart!
